Neighborhood Response Groups (NRGs) organize neighbors to prepare for and respond to emergencies. Central Marin’s NRG program includes 41 NRGs covering approximately 6,000 households and was founded in 2011. Its mission is to build resilient, well-prepared neighborhoods that can support one another in the critical hours after a disaster, before outside help arrives.

Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority
The Marin Wildfire Prevention Authority (MWPA) coordinates wildfire prevention across Marin County. Its mission is to reduce the risk of wildfire and to prepare Marin’s communities to respond to and recover from wildfire events, through vegetation management, detection, evacuation planning, grants and public education.
