The Greenbrae Property Owners Association is a volunteer, nonprofit association formed in 1948. We serve the Greenbrae community and act as a resource and advocate for residents on landscaping, fire safety, land use and neighborhood life.
The Board of Directors of the GPOA are volunteer members who serve the community on a best-effort basis. The Board acts as a liaison to Marin County and City of Larkspur Planning and Building departments, coordinates community landscaping and fire-safety efforts, and administers the community’s Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions.

Step 1
Know your CC&Rs
Read the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions that protect our neighborhood. Planning a project? Submit plans to the Association for architectural review before you build.
Step 2
Join the email list
Get community news, event announcements, landscaping updates and fire-safety reminders straight to your inbox.
Step 3
Prepare for fire season
Review Zone Zero, defensible space and home-hardening guidance with FireSafe Marin, and get to know your Neighborhood Response Group.
Step 4
Meet your neighbors
Come to the Annual Community Picnic in Parkside Park and the Annual Community Meeting to reconnect and meet new neighbors.
Step 5
Understand our landscaping
Marin County Parks and CSA 16 maintain our medians and street trees, with the GPOA Landscaping Committee as liaison. Questions go to the committee.

Landscaping Committee
Liaison to Marin County Parks and the CSA 16 Advisory Board on medians, street trees, parks and the SFDB frontage.
Fire & Safety
Coordinates FireWise USA, defensible space and wildfire-preparedness outreach with FireSafe Marin and the MWPA.
Architectural Review (ARC)
Reviews building plans for compliance with the community’s CC&Rs before construction.

Architectural Review
Planning a building project? Greenbrae properties are subject to an architectural review process under the community’s CC&Rs. Plans must be submitted to the Association for approval before construction begins - including excavation.

A little Greenbrae history
